Sophie and Olly’s Wedding
Such a great day. I loved playing in a venue with a thatched roof for a wonderful couple surrounded by their close friends and family.
Great to meet Wedding Photographer John Hope.
I arrived in good time and got a parking space then had lunch which was really amazing.
Then the wedding party arrived.
I was able to prep my equipment and eavesdrop the speeches without getting in the way.
The cake cut was introduced by the gentleman from the venue, who was happily on baby-sitting duties during the wedding breakfast. I then introduced the first dance.
I love how even though it was very light outside, it was dark enough inside, even in June, for my lights to be effective. It’s a rarity on summer weddings, and really good for the atmosphere and for the dancing.
We did a fun bouquet throw. I got a selfie with Sophie, and she asked me to get a picture of her with a couple of friends.
Everyone was dancing around the couple and Olly lifted Sophie off her feet.
It was a beautiful moment and the night finished with one of Olly’s groomsmen joining me on the decks.
